INDIA, UN PAÍS DE CONTRASTES: Indian art and culture show in benefit of Fundación Colores de Calcuta

On June 6 and 7 we wil be able to enjoy a weekend of Indian art and culture in the centro de la Asociación de Vecinos Colonia Obrera de Madrid. An opportunity to get closer to this country full of contrasts through lots of activities for children and adults.

June 6, Saturday

11:30 am: Indian handicraft and ceramics market from the art school Francisco Alcántara opens.

12:30 pm: display of the short film nominated for the Goya awards in 2014, “La Alfombra Roja” by Iosu López and Manuel Fernández. Presentation of the NGO Fundación Colores de Calcuta by its director in Spain, María de Muns.

1:30 pm: potter’s wheel demonstration, by Jorge de la Torre Jañez and Ana Ramírez Perea

6:00 pm: Conference “India, un ineludible viaje en el tiempo”, by Miguel Macías

8:00 pm: Hindi dance of the five elements, from the group Nayira-Maimjhutha (yobollywood) and public choreographies
