The Comú of La Massana (Andorra) will present from April 8 to April 12, the Bharat Boxes expo (India Boxes) from the artist Matildalamora Fabregat, in the benefit of the Fundación Colores de Calcuta.
This exhibition comes after the trip to India that the Catalan artist Matildalamora did for four years to Jodhpur (Rajasthan, India), from 2006 to 2010. Matilda gets her inspiration from the small temples and altars found in the streets and homes in India, transforming them into micro scenarios of visual poetry. In the exhibition there will also be shown watercolour paintings and her travel books. This work was exhibited at the Cervantes Institute in Delhi in 2009 and the International Book Fair in Calcutta in January 2010 where girls of our home Anand Bhavan attended as special guests of the artist, who has collaborated with Fundación Colores de Calcuta since then.
The exposition will be open to all from Wednesday, April 8th to Sunday, April 12 from 12:00 am till 7:00 pm in the hall from la Closeta de la Massana.
Friday, April 10th at 7:00 pm there will be a presentation of the exhibition along with a presentation of the projects from Fundación Colores de Calcuta, with its directors, María de Muns and Antonio Mesas (from Spain and India respectively), with the company of Matildalamora Fabregat herself.
The exhibition’s works are on sale, and 50% of the sales will be sent to the projects of the Foundation.
